Wilbur – Head Smoker

Wilbur’s love of BBQ goes back to his roots in Savannah, GA where he fell in love with the bottled sauce from Johnny Harris. After moving to Marietta, GA and eating every version of BBQ that is offered around Atlanta from Harolds to Williamson Brothers, he decided to try his hand at cooking BBQ for himself.
After a horrible experience with ribs on a kettle grill, Wilbur decided to get serious and purchase a smoker. Watching many hours of Good Eats and trying his new techniques led to mild success with pork loin, ribs and a spicy sauce. He then decided to begin learning from the best by competing against the best. Until the competitions begin Wilbur is spending his free time working on and perfecting his smoker as well as the BBQ that is cooked in it.
